Palestine And Israel

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

I don’t understand. What exactly do the Palestinians want?

There are peace talks, then wars, then peace talks and wars again.

Why not choose one option? Either gather up and go for an all out war, or accept Israel and get on with it. If it continues the way it is, there are going to be a lot of dead bodies in the future.

I’m not taking Israel’s side here but this has to end someday. Your precious opinion?

And what importance does the name Israel have and why are Jews called Yahudis? And what is the connection?

She knows now. We’re fine.

Won’t be talking for a while, need to get my head straightened out.

Cigs help. ;)

I asked my friend to come over last night to give me some company. Went out to distribute cards of his friend’s sister’s wedding, smoked four cigs in the span of an hour and then had a late night (after midnight) dinner at a local fast food restaurant. First full meal in days, had to force most of it down though. :D

Got some ice-cream for my sister and then went back home.

Put on Pineapple Express. It’s a funny movie but didn’t enjoy it much.

We both went to the roof and I smoked three consecutive Dunhill Lights for the first time in my life. Usually, one is more than enough to make me go tuuunnnnn and three are more than enough to make me puke my insides out. But nothing happened last night.

Felt better, came down, finished the movie. Friend went back home, I went to sleep after four.

Woke up at ten, usual habit, but forced myself to go to sleep again. Woke up at noon and here I am.

Feeling better now, hope to go out today too.

Yet there’s a thread running in the background. Have to kill it. Where’s the goddamn Task Manager?

This is not me. I never friggin pictured myself this way!

For God’s sake, I…AM…SAWJ!

PPPP: Parveen Phenyl Pathan Post

Monday, December 1st, 2008

A couple of weeks ago,  my Mom was angry at the maasi, Parveen, for trying to sneak phenyl bottles away to her own house.

It started when Parveen came to ask my Mom for a new phenyl bottle and said that the previous one was empty. My Mom became suspicious and she checked out the place where the bottle in use was kept. And there it was, a brand new bottle filled to the top, in open view. Naturally, she became furious at Parveen for asking for a new bottle when there was already one present. A long phadda ensued during which my Mom verbally clobbered the maasi top, left, right and bottom and the maasi kept trying to fight back but to no avail. Verdict: Parveen was trying to sneak bottles away and was a bloody thief.

*****

Now, in light of the recent happenings in Karachi, and also having heard the tales of Pathans misbehaving with women and abducting whole buses full of them from Korangi in the wake of Benazir’s brilliant decision to wave at her supporters by appearing through the sunroof, her opinion about Pathans and Afghanis isn’t really a flattering one. Our house is located in a predominantly MQM area but an ANP (Pathan) stronghold is not far off.

She was talking to my phuppo on the phone today about the situation in Karachi.

During the conversation, she remarked: “If Pathans ever attack our home, I have two phenyl bottles ready. I’ll drink one and give the other one to my daughter to protect us from their misbehavior.”

You know me…

“What if Parveen has snuck those bottles away?”

Capital Talk or Capital Lies?

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I’m watching Hamid Mir on Geo TV right now, in his program Capital Talk, trashing Musharraf.

Blaming every bad thing on him and taking credit for everything that happened to him in the last year. Praising the almost-dead lawyers’ movement for it.

Claiming that for the first time under Musharraf, lawyers were bombarded with tear-gas inside the Supreme Court, forgetting that this was done to the ‘honorable judges’ under Nawaz Sharif.

I’m also watching Tariq Azeem, Musharraf’s aide a year ago, blaming him and calling the emergency a ‘Martial Law’. God, how these politicians change their fathers!

The only lesson I’m taking from this is that ‘if you come to power, be ruthless and crush your opponents with an iron hand’, something Musharraf did not do. Seriously, if I become the President of Pakistan, I’ll show these bastards what dictatorship really is!
