Change

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Last week, many Pakistanis celebrated the ‘change’ that the American people brought to their country by voting a black man to allegedly, the most powerful office in the world, the office of the President of the United States of America. For the Americans, they are happy because they elected the better man. But what about us? What about the change we brought upon ourselves, ten months ago? Should we be happy?

And what about the fact that the better man of America wants to use any and all means to ‘put an end to terrorism’, even if it means cross-border raids into Pakistan without permission? So far only innocent civilians have died from that. And our ten-month old ‘change’ refuses to defend us. Moreover, he wants to reduce Pakistan’s army to a glorified police force. Making comments like “Pakistan doesn’t need a big army!”. Who the bloody f**k is he to decide whether we need an army or not? Why not reduce the Indian army? Hell, they are the ones wreaking havoc in Kashmir!

It’s high-time Pakistanis knocked some sense into their damn heads. Or I’ll keep on praying for another ‘dictatorship’. And a brutal one this time!

Capital Talk or Capital Lies?

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I’m watching Hamid Mir on Geo TV right now, in his program Capital Talk, trashing Musharraf.

Blaming every bad thing on him and taking credit for everything that happened to him in the last year. Praising the almost-dead lawyers’ movement for it.

Claiming that for the first time under Musharraf, lawyers were bombarded with tear-gas inside the Supreme Court, forgetting that this was done to the ‘honorable judges’ under Nawaz Sharif.

I’m also watching Tariq Azeem, Musharraf’s aide a year ago, blaming him and calling the emergency a ‘Martial Law’. God, how these politicians change their fathers!

The only lesson I’m taking from this is that ‘if you come to power, be ruthless and crush your opponents with an iron hand’, something Musharraf did not do. Seriously, if I become the President of Pakistan, I’ll show these bastards what dictatorship really is!

SAWJ’s Note: Notice how the author makes a reference to Musharraf. What the heck did Musharraf do to tick each and every one of these idiots off? Notice also how he makes Zardari look like a saint. The author is the same clown who reported the departure of Musharraf to some foreign land, and planes standing at the Chaklala Airbase to whisk him away, many months ago. Musharraf did not fly away then but 22 billion dollars sure did.

Wear a Black Armband as a symbol of your disagreement

Wear a Black Armband as a symbol of your disagreement.

Musharraf’s resignation took with it the last ray of hope. The NRO was not revoked and the country is in the hands of thieves and looters. There is an impression that the whole Nation is united in this decision and is celebrating, whereas many of us who see this as a dark step in the plan to destabilize Pakistan are depressed and disappointed. The media has as usual picked a biased side, and continues to celebrate in the hype that it has itself created. President Musharraf did have supporters, and there are many who did not want him to resign, but amidst the shouts of these politically charged conspirators, our voices are unheard.

Show your stance against the resignation by the President, by wearing a black armband. The most peaceful, quiet and non-provoking way to show your disagreement. We have seen the lawyers do it, the NGO’s and their human rights, the politicians and their selfish agendas. Why not use this way for once solely for the sake of Pakistan

Wear the armband as:

  • A symbol of our feelings, our disappointment over the president’s departure.
  • A protest against the government and its conspiracy that has now unfolded. We stand united for Pakistan and its sovereignty.
  • A reminder to the government, that now that Musharraf is no longer there to be used as an excuse for the government’s follies, we are awaiting action. There are issues waiting to be addressed, and if Musharraf was the only hindrance, we want them to be tackled. The government is in the Nation’s courtroom, and it is answerable to us…we are the ones passing the judgment.

It is not an antagonistic protest; it is merely a form of expression, to show that we disagree, to show that we want CHANGE, to show that this nation s not blind {or indifferent}. Musharraf’s problems may have ended, but this government’s have just begun. United, we stand.
