I’m watching Hamid Mir on Geo TV right now, in his program Capital Talk, trashing Musharraf.
Blaming every bad thing on him and taking credit for everything that happened to him in the last year. Praising the almost-dead lawyers’ movement for it.
Claiming that for the first time under Musharraf, lawyers were bombarded with tear-gas inside the Supreme Court, forgetting that this was done to the ‘honorable judges’ under Nawaz Sharif.
I’m also watching Tariq Azeem, Musharraf’s aide a year ago, blaming him and calling the emergency a ‘Martial Law’. God, how these politicians change their fathers!
The only lesson I’m taking from this is that ‘if you come to power, be ruthless and crush your opponents with an iron hand’, something Musharraf did not do. Seriously, if I become the President of Pakistan, I’ll show these bastards what dictatorship really is!
