Why do you say Allah Hafiz and not Khuda Hafiz?

“O son of Adam, when you see that your Lord, the Glorified, bestows His Favors on you while you disobey Him, you should fear Him (take warning that His Wrath may not turn those very blessings into misfortunes).”
Ali(A.S.)

What I know is, Allah is a unique word, it has no plural no anotonym and no masculine or feminine but khuda does have all these associated with it. Though I don’t remember but readit somewhere too that if we divide the word meaning of Allah is still there for instance the last ‘hu’ means ‘he-the one’
I say both…depends on how Im feeling like ^.^ …good question tho. Hmmm… lekin then again..in pakistan there are numerous ways one can say “bye” …essentially it means “may God protect you” …right? ..so what difference does it make if its Allah Hafiz/Khuda Hafiz or Allah Nigehban…0-o
It’s just to show that there is no better a protector except Allah SWT.
Err.. I think I agree with Qurrat here.
First of all, I’d say it is your intention that matters. As cynic said above, Allah is a unique word, used only for the creator of this world. Khuda means god that might have plurals and masculines and feminines etc.
Secondly, Allah is made up of two words, ‘al’, and “ilah”. Al is used to convert a common noun to a proper noun, to make something unique. Like Al-kitab versus kitab (which would mean some specific book versus any book). And ilah means one who is worshiped. So ‘al’ and ‘ilah’ would mean someone specific who is worshiped, i.e. the creator of this world…
err
so whats the big punch/bottom line, maestro?
waisay i say Allah hafiz, because the God (’s name) is actually specified in it, khuda is kinda religion-neutral term..
The bottom line is this:
“It’s your intention that matters. Whomever you consider as your Khuda is the one you refer to when saying Khuda Hafiz. The latest movement of banning Khuda Hafiz and everyone switching to Allah Hafiz by the Maulvis is my target by this post.
For a long time, Maulvis have been making a joke out of our religion. No-good, two-book-literate, dumb-as-hell Mullas defining the fate of our religion just pisses me off!
Khuda Hafiz is the same as Allah Hafiz for Muslims. Khuda is a Persian word for God. Allah IS God. So every Muslim should remove this misconception that it is shirk or something of that sort. But as seen above, no one has even the slightest idea what he/she is talking about.
It does not matter what Allah means, for every Muslim Allah IS Khuda.
If people have a problem with words, then they should ban other words as well. E.g. Namaaz, Roza, etc.
Namaaz is a word of old Faarsi, known as Paarsi which was spoken by Zoroastrians. Their worship was called Namaaz. Made up of two words: ‘Nam’ meaning ‘Wet’, ‘Aaz’ meaning ‘Eyes’.
They used to cry before a huge fire, thinking that it would wash away all their sins.
Now we should all say Salaat, not Namaaz if the Allah/Khuda argument is to be taken seriously.”
This is the bottom line, written in a hurry.
hmm..ok
thanks
or jazak Allah
