I don’t understand. What exactly do the Palestinians want?
There are peace talks, then wars, then peace talks and wars again.
Why not choose one option? Either gather up and go for an all out war, or accept Israel and get on with it. If it continues the way it is, there are going to be a lot of dead bodies in the future.
I’m not taking Israel’s side here but this has to end someday. Your precious opinion?
And what importance does the name Israel have and why are Jews called Yahudis? And what is the connection?

What the Palestinians want is freedom.
Why they have peace talks is because their people are dying, why they have wars is because they want freedom.
Why they can’t choose one option is because they’re not sure they can affords that many people dying for freedom.
Not saying that’s the right way to go about it- but I sure can understand why?
*afford
It is basically a difficult situation. We all keep calling it a war between the Muslims and the Jews, its far more than that and we need to understand wat actually happened.
Prophet Musa (AS) led the Israelis (the slaves of the Pharoh, Prophet Musa’s (AS) ummah and thats where the word Israel comes from) out of Egypt and they conquered Jerusalem under King David much later. The Jews were expelled from Jerusalem wen the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem. It was only much later when Alexander the Great conquered Jerusalem that Jews were allowed in and were also allowed to practice Judaism. Jews had tough times after that as well especially wen they (the practicing ones) were expelled again by the Romans (who also named the land Palaestina). It was then conquered by Hazrat Omar’s (RA) army led by Hazrat Khalid Ibn Al-Walid who promised to give protection to all: Christians and Jews. Things went wrong once again but this time both for Muslims and Jews wen the land was taken over by the Christian crusaders. The Muslims captured it again to be taken over by Napolian’s army. Then the Ottomans captured it and they imposed some restrictions on Jews. Many Jews had already fled and many others fled during this time. This was also the time wen Zionism had started to become popular amongst the Jews asking for ‘their’ promised land. Then WW1 began and many of the Jews were deported (because they were Russian nationals). At the same time, the Arabs had started to revolt against the Ottomans. The British conquered Palestine, the Zionists were lobbying in Europe and America (while we slept). That made way to the infamous mandate which led way to “The Jewish Agency” promoting Jewish immigration into Palestine (needless to say there were riots). The Holocaust (killing 6 million Jews) in WW2 led to a lot more (illegal) immigrations to Palestine and to make things simpler for themselves, the Jews joined hands with the British and Americans (they anyway had reasons to be against the Nazis). As a result, the Jews were promised support for their own land in Palestine leading to legal immigration. Then there was a UN decision splitting Palestine into approximately equal halves which the Arabs rejected leading to the War of Independence in 1948 finally leading to the formation of Israel. The riots didnt stop and initially the Palestinians did have an advantage but soon it was clear that the Jews had an advantage cuz of the technology that they had. The Arabs continued making mistakes by attacking Israel without proper planning and Israel kept conquering more land.
J is translated as Y as in Joseph is translated as Yousuf. I am sorry I didnt mean to write such a long comment
@Saira: Why they have peace talks is because their people are dying, why they have wars is because they want freedom.
Why they can’t choose one option is because they’re not sure they can affords that many people dying for freedom.
Yeh kya baat hui?
@KW: Uff khudaya! Maine Palestine aur Israel ki history thori poochhi thi!
Waise, how did you get all this stuff? Knowledge over time or Wikipedia? Or knowledge over time from Wikipedia?
knowledge through bhaiya
he has interest in history and I am the curious soul at home. he knows all this with much more detail with exact dates, number of casualties and so on so forth
i didnt want to write the whole history, just wrote it to say that its not basically about Muslims against the Jews…its more like Zionists against Palestinian Arabs. In fact there was a time when the Palestinians (Jews and Muslims) got together against the Ottomans (nationalism) but the Ottomans started imposing restrictions on Jews forcing them to leave leading way to Zionism. The Arabs didnt realize that Jews (read Zionists) were becoming a huge power in terms of technology and knowledge, and if you look at the chronology (how they were expelled each time Jerusalem was conquered), their claim over the land does not seem completely unjustified. Its basically their inhumane behavior against Palestinians which is a huge problem…but then the Palestinian leaders (along with other Arab leaders/armies) made huge blunders initially (still making blunders). Obviously its going to be the common man who would pay the price.
And please do compere it with the creation of Pakistan, the only country other than Israel to have been created in the name of a religion.
Sure. But what about my question?
Want me to tell you what I learned from my Bhayya?
which question?
Short term amnesia, I see. Upar post parho, last mein question hai.
arey tou woh bataya tou na. Israel is the land for Israelis…Prophet Musa’s (RA) ummah an Y is tranlated as J: Yousef and Joseph. the last line of my first comment, dude.
Nope. Answer is different.
as far as i know Jew (Judean) is the English word for yahudi which itself comes from the word Yehudah (Judah) part of the tribe of Israel. They are all I think descendents of Hazrat Yaqoob (Jacob).
You’re close to the answer but not exactly the answer.
ummm…bhaiya sey poochon? or that would be cheating na?
Pooch lo, no tension. Mujhe bhi to ‘bhayya’ hi ne bataya hai.
So what’s wrong with what I’m saying!
It’s crazy!
No it isn’t, it makes complete sense.
You just have to use your brain a little
Yeah. Freedom is causing people to die, and people are dying so they want freedom. It seems like a feedback control system to me, if you know what I mean English teacher!
yup it makes sense ! :S
Lo ek aur aa gaya!
LOl, Thanks Saad!
@ SAWJ: BTW Freedom is not causing people to die its the WAR that is! And okay chalo let’s leave my theory aside for a minute, why don’t you tell me why they are unable to choose one option, Mr. Genius?
That’s what I’m asking Saira aunty.
Freedom is not causing people to die its the WAR that is!
The war is for freedom, isn’t it?
Freedom does not equal War.
War does not equal freedom.
This is not a mathematical equation.
See they always go back to peace talks because their people are dying and they can’t afford that much bloodshed.
But even when there’s peace and no war they are in a state of constant control by the Israelis so they go back to war.
And during the war what happens there is a lot of bloodshed, what’s happening now so many people are dying so they yet again go back to peace talks.
Kuch samajh aaya, budhoo?
I never equated freedom to war. I only said that their want of freedom leads them to war, buddhoo!
And your point again leads to my question, kab tak? It’s a never-ending process the way it is, someday they must make a choice.
Don’t have an answer to the ‘kab tak’ bit!
Palestinian government se ja ke poochain?
Pooch lo, phir mujhe bhi bata dena!
Taali Ek haath se nahi bajti! from what i see even Isrealis aren’t willing to have talks
Its a vicious circle and it will never end…
oh k…so i basically didnt ask bhaiya, i am waiting for the answer your bhayya gave you. If I am not wrong, you are referring to Allama Zameer Akhter Naqvi cuz if thats so then I think I can wait for that answer
@Saad: Well they will have to decide one day.
@Ash: That’s exactly what it looks like.
@KW: Yeah, that’s him
Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) had two sons: Ishaq (A.S.) and Ismael (A.S.). Hazrat Ishaq (A.S.) had 12 sons. One was Hazrat Yaqoob (A.S.). His title was ‘Israel’. He had 12 sons too. Two were prophets, Yousuf (A.S.) and Banyamin (A.S.). The eldest was named Yahuda, all his children are called Yahudis. And since he was the son of Israel, they are also called Bani Israel.
Kab tak??
jub tak Palestinians reconcile their internal discords….Fatah is pursuing a Give & Take strategy to win the favour of international community…(Arafat, Fatah leader, supported the 2-state solution)…whereas Hamas has consistently & vehemently opposed the 2-state solution…..just like the ideologies of the leading parties, support of Palestinian ppl is also DIVIDED.. (Hamas is said to have an edge bcoz of its “armed ” clashes with Israeli Defense forces)
so maybe u have some other explanation of the continued unrest, i would blame their internal dissensions…
Indeed. Aa gayeen wapis?
itni bezti k baad bhi na aati
