A school holds a competition. The prizes when summed up, total 17 sweets. Now they are to be distributed in the following manner:
First Place – 1/2
Second Place – 1/3
Third Place – 1/9

Well, as no one has been able to solve it yet, I guess I should post the results
1st Prize = 9 sweets
2nd Prize = 6 sweets
3rd Prize = 2 sweets
Now, what do I get?

No wonder this isn’t a GRE question. GRE questions are to be solved as they are; this one needs to be fiddled with. (Yes, I took the hint from Aqeeliz’s answer.
