Ali Imam Manasto Manam Ghulam-e-Ali…
Does anyone have the complete quatrain of this manqabat, and the name of who authoured it?
I believe it was authored by Mahshar Lakhnawi from Karachi. Sorry I don’t have the complete quatrain of this manqabat.
Welcome to my blog!
Seems too contemporary to be so. always thought of it to be a Khusro composition! Are you sure?
I heard the phrase in a Mahshar manqabat. Could be that he borrowed it from Khusro.
well the phrase does carry as an add-on with most other poems..either to pilot of the rest of the poem as to what is comming. I think it is borrowed, but not sure if Khusro!
It’s a possibility, yes.
Are you someone who does persian translations?
Bro, it’d take a miracle for me to translate English properly, let alone Persian!
al righty…most renditions of naat/manqabats have an exceptional literature in persian. and most definitely qawwalis…it then becomes not entirely enjoyable unless one know what the content mean! will post more question in future , so watch out ! till then , have a good time! bye
Sure. Bye!
I heard this in a qawwali. am not sure, if it a part of the poem manqabat itself!
Navishta bardar-e-jannat bakhatt-e-sabz-o-jaleel
shafi-e-roz-e-qayamat Muhammed-e-Arabi
khuda gawah ke badas Muhaamed-e-Arabi
Ali Imam-e-manasto manam ghulam-e-Ali
Hazaar jaan-e-girmai fida ba naam-e-Ali
Doesn’t sound like total Persian but thanks for sharing!
